![]() ![]() If you need a true 50/50 mix you either need to use undiluted FL22 from Ford/Mazda or you need to completely empty the block which requires a vacuum system or partial disassembly of the coolant system to gravity drain as much as humanly possible. I have a coolant tester and I am sitting around 60/40 which I wouldn't recommend for Minnesota or North Dakota but is fine for anywhere that doesn't see -20 fahrenheit. Zerex Asian Vehicle Blue Antifreeze/Coolant is proven to maximize engine life in vehicles made by Asian auto manufacturers such as Acura, Honda, Infiniti, Nissan and others which specify a blue formula that’s silicate and borate-free with HOAT (Hybrid Organic Acid Technology). Peak Asian and now Supertech Asian was the replacement, but people were still iffy on them. Zerex from Valvoline is the 1 selling OEM-approved coolant brand. That last part was because A) I still had coolant to use and B) the jug is 50/50 water to coolant, what was in my engine at that point was more like 70/30 because of the distilled water in the engine block that you can't get out by draining the radiator. 1 A lot of people were backing Zerex Asian and then Walmart stopped carrying them. I then filled with zerex, cycled the coolant again, then drained the radiator and topped up with zerex. I drained and filled with distilled water and heat cycled the engine, repeated this about 3 times until there was nothing but distilled water coming out (not tainted by the color of the old fluid). ZEREX Asian Vehicle has been designed to meet the requirements of Asian manufacturers, which specify a silicate free HOAT formula with a phosphate additive. I've been using zerex asian since 2015 when I bought the car and changed all the fluids. ![]()
